The bible teaches that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. According to scripture this amazing work was completed in six days and on the seventh day God rested. What this means is that everything that needed to be set in motion to finish the work of creation was now complete. Everything that needed to be established that would carry us until the end of time was incorporated within those six days. Because God is a perfect and omniscient God, because he’s the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, he was able to create and put in place those things that would be needed for generations to come. He is not restricted by time and has the ability to simultaneously exist in the past, present and future. Therefore, every need and every prayer has already been answered with a determined outcome. For the scripture teaches that if we humble ourselves and turn from our evil ways and pray, our prayers would be answered. Again, this only confirms the completeness of God’s work and the awesomeness of his power.
The fact that God took the time to make provision for all of our needs is just another reason why we should want to serve him. Whatever you need, he has already provided for it through his word. In order to see the fulfillment of answered prayer, we must walk in faith and obedience to scripture. We must also remember that his timing is not always the same as ours, but if we wait patiently upon him, he will come.
